The Clover House is located just a block from quaint downtown Exeter. The venue has been extensively remodeled to unveil the original beauty of this 1908 Craftsman home, originally known as the "Railroad House". This home was built by Jonathan Grant Kirkman and his wife Eva Pogue Kirkman, and was known to have strong ties to the Visalia Electric Railroad since is is adjacent to the railroad yard. Today, you can still see the trains from the backyard as they undergo maintainence.
The house has seen several owners since it was built, but years ago, a man named Wes Clover bought it with a dream in mind. Months turned into years and he just wasn't able to see this home become his vision so Charlie and Tricia Kirksey bought the home from Mr. Clover, determined to bring it back to life, thus beginning the 9 month journey to restore the home into the remarkable "Clover House".
If you are looking for a vintage, comfortable setting for your next event, this is it. We left out all the high end commercial features and kept it as natural and authentic as possible, providing a remarkable place to sit back and relax. The large backyard is able to host a large wedding or reunion, the verandah is a popular spot for afternoon teas and showers, and inside we can accomodate a small intimate gathering, with the feel of a bygone era.
Please allow us the opportunity to show you around and don't worry...we are not pushy sales people. We understand that there are many venues around in which to choose from. But we feel confident that our all inclusive packages are designed to allow you to enjoy your special day with your family and friends while you leave the details and work to us.
